Marielle Prudencio - 2025 Scholarship Fund Winner Annoucement.jpg

Marielle Prudencio is a senior at Notre Dame High School with a strong background in leadership and community services. She has served as president of her school's Cultural Diversity Club, advocated for mental health awareness, performed in school plays, and volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital. She has been involved in the National Language Honor Society, an Admission Ambassador, Theater, the Pen & Ink Club, and the National Honor Society. Her passion for helping others, especially children, has led her to apply for the PA & Nursing programs at DeSales University. Her achievements include organizing cultural showcases and creating safe spaces for students to discuss mental health. Despite facing challenges, her experiences in the arts have taught her resilience and confidence. She is deeply involved in her community, volunteering and helping run the annual Pocono Latin Fest.

Eliannis Montas - 2025 Scholarship Fund Winner Annoucement.jpg

Eliannis Montas is a senior at MCTI and will be attending York College. Ever since she could read, she has been translating documents for her grandmother, which gave her a sense of purpose. She helped her grandmother navigate in a country that was not built for her. Witnessing the passing of her other Grandmother, Gladys, from cancer left her feeling helpless but inspired her interest in medicine. She joined MCTI's Health Professions Program, overcoming significant challenges and dedicating herself to her studies. She became the most well-versed in the health sciences, serving as treasurer of the Health Occupation Students of America and a Skills USA Ambassador and competing in the Health Bowl. Her passion for medicine is driven by her belief in science and the potential to cure diseases. She volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital, Pocono Environmental Education Center, and the Cougar Ambassadors. She was also a member of the Speech and Debate team, participated in Mock Trials, and the Foreign Language and Culture club.
